Dr. White started her career as a trained psychiatric nurse, providing therapy and facilitating groups.  As her career progressed, she continued to further her education and received a BA in sociology from Boston College.  Upon graduation from Boston college she decided to expand her horizons by traveling west to California, where she continued to pursue career and educational goals, and received a MS in Corrections, MA in Psychology, PsyD in Psychology  from Pepperdine University during various stages in her career.  In addition, while working in a treatment program for substance abuse she also obtained a Certification in Addiction Counseling from Cal State, Dominguez Hills.

Dr. White relocated to Las Vegas to pursue her career in Corrections, working for the NDOC,  after having completed an internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  While at the NDOC she became trained in the treatment of sexual offenders and joined ATSA-Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers  as well as facilitated a program for incarcerated youth adjudicated as adults.  After ten years of working in Corrections, Dr. White transitioned to Outpatient Mental Health Services, with a focus on treatment for survivors of sexual abuse and specializing in DBT-Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Nicole Torres is a Qualified Mental Health Associate and Community Liaison at Matters of the Mind, LLC Behavioral Health Agency, providing services at our North Las Vegas office.  Torres obtained courses from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, at Ponce city, Puerto Rico. Torres holds a Bachelor’s of Science from Phoenix University, with a major in Psychology. 

Torres worked for Early Autism Project as a therapist. She provided therapy for patients diagnosed with Autism in schools, homes and at the clinic. Torres provided behavioral interventions programs based on Applied Behavioral Analysis. Torres also worked at Nellis AFB Child Development Center providing the well-being and mental, physical, and emotional development of military children from ages infant to 4 years of age. Torres is passionate about helping others, and understands the challenges that the Latin community encounters on a daily basis.  

Torres is of Puerto Rican descent and was born in Queens, NY. Torres was raised and lived in Puerto Rico most of her life. Torres understands the difficulties of military life, as she is a proud military spouse. She has been married for 10 years to her husband, MSgt Hernandez Alvarez (USAF), an aircraft mechanic on the 5th Gen F-35 platform. The couple was blessed with two wonderful children. Torres has traveled across the country and even lived in Japan while her husband was stationed there. Torres was present during the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami where she quickly joined the Red Cross in efforts to help with the natural disaster. Torres reports that helping out the Japanese community in time of need has been her most proud accomplishment. She hopes to continue helping the Las Vegas community with just as much passion and dedication.

  Adrienne Crosley is a Nevada Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) at Matters of the Mind, LLC Behavioral Health Agency, providing services at the Las Vegas location. Ms. Crosley has over 7 years’ experience in addiction counseling and working with adolescent female homeless youth in non-profit and for-profit organizations.
